Reddit Anime Post: Watch “Weathering With You” : Animesuggest

Source Link

When I saw it in theaters, it was in a “4D” theater so the seats were on some kind of roller coaster simulator track and they sprayed water on you every time water shows up in the movie (which is a lot). The worst part is that it wasn’t even synced with the movie. During the part where they drink tea, the seats were going crazy but when the truck explodes there was no vibration or movement at all.

Hopefully my situation is very uncommon, but it completely ruined my experience with the movie. I’ll have to watch it again without all the “4D” junk

I’m sorry aha but your comment really made me laugh, especially about the chairs during the tea. That’s unfortunate, but look at the positive you got to see it in a cinema (big screen I presume)

This sounds like a nightmare! I can’t even stomach 3D at the cinema. All that stuff feels so superfluous and gimmicky.

I think they’re both good movies, but when it comes to great directors, it’s hard not to compare their new releases to their best work. It’s kind of how people compare Scorsese’s The Irishman with Goodfellas and such.

I personally found Your Name to be better because of the characters. Weathering With You had, at least for me, a very vague and dull protagonist dude. Sure, the same thing could be said about Taki in Your Name, but his actions didn’t really need a backstory. In regards to Hodaka, his evasive personality is barely explained, leaving more to want. Also, I personally wasn’t a big fan of the pacing around the middle of the film.

With all that being said, it was still an above average movie that isn’t bad.

It’s almost unsettling to me because I never knew why Hodaka left his family and then he just went back to finish school.

I liked Weathering With You, but Your Name has put a certain level of standards for me haha. It also gave me “stronger” feelings when I was watching it, like the feelings of losing someone and not being able to see them again were way more overwhelming with Your Name.

Weathering with you is definitely not as good Your Name, personally I preferred the storyline in Your name better as it was a lot more engaging and it had a stronger impact on me. Although, I will say weathering you, of course has amazing art design and some really beautiful scenes (especially more to the end) that were truly impressive. The story itself wasn’t amazing and there were some weak points at the beginning but I still suggest you watch it and experience it for yourself. (Also Taki and Mitsuha make an experience which is veryyy cool)

I personally prefer WWY to YN. I don’t know if it’s the music or the better supernatural element but WWY just feels so much better to me

I just watched this yesterday. I am listening to grand escape right now. 🤣

are eng sub out yet?

I’ve seen so many posts about weathering with you and it just makes me sad that I didn’t see it when it was in theaters lol

This movie was fantastic

Yes please watch one of the most hype ever anime movies. Like no one in here who follows anime knows what this movie is..

Stop doing posts like this, please.

ancient players definitely talk the most

Says ancinet player

I’m an ancient player, and this is spot on.

Talking a lot is gonna make me an Ancient player, got it.

As a ancient player, i can confirm this is true

Thats cause they’re actually trying? I think it’s something like that at least

I’ve been struggling for a year now to go legend to ancient. Not they’re consistently yet but this is actually fairly accurate

Ancients are Legends with an attitude problem.

Seen a fair few die because they were talking so much they missed the part where they were getting ganked.

Turns out a 5,000 year old concept with 6,500 modern variations is actually pretty effective. Use your fucking vocal cords thanks

And say the most wrong shit with great conviction.

Since it’s about core players:

Why are you pulling? you are losing the lane!

Why are you not pulling? you are losing the lane!

Or

I want the last pick so I can get countered by all of the shown enemy heros.

I want the last pick so I can get countered by all of the shown enemy heros.

I will never cease to understand this one. What makes this worse is this almost always lines up with having nobody on your team that has an answer to the last two enemy hero picks.

pick mid role says: Me last pick, letme counter them enemy pick eartshaker and winter wyvern for 1st and 2nd pick after time out about 10 seconds, proceed to pick Meepo, he’ll say: chill, I got this, now stfu noob, give me 2 tango lose the game report this noob shit support, so toxic, not ganking mid shit. Feeding enemy carry, shit carry player can’t target eartshaker and ww first noob shit putang ina mo

When they hover a hero and say ‘let me last’ then one by one the enemy picks a lineup to demolish that hero.

Picks it anyway.

“Thanks for winning the lane so hard for me. Not i can rush a basher and head to the jungle for the next twenty minutes.”

I like playing on crusader.

Game News: The Best SSDs You Can Get 2020: SATA, M.2., And NVMe Drives You Can Buy Right Now

Original Source Link

However, you should take some time to familiarize yourself with the market before you buy one. There are a few different types of SSDs that you should know about before you pick the right one. SATA SSDs are the most common and require you to connect them to your power supply and motherboard’s SATA ports. M.2 SSDs are a faster option and require you to plug them into the M.2 slots on your motherboard–you’ll want to make sure your motherboard has M.2 slots prior to your purchase.

M.2 SSDs also come in a number of different configurations. M.2 SATA is the slowest, as it uses the same standard that hard drives have used for years. M.2 PCIe, on the other hand, is much faster. Most M.2 PCIe SSDs make use of the NVMe memory standard, which lets the SSDs read and write at their full speed potential. Both M.2 SATA and M.2 PCIe can be inserted into the same slots on your motherboard, but you’ll likely benefit more from an M.2 PCIe SSD because of that extra speed. M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs typically cost more, but you can often find NVMe SSDs at a lower price than their regular, thanks to sales.

There are a lot of great SSDs out there, though they’re not always in stock. That’s why we’ve collected a number of the best ones you can buy right now.

SSDs don’t last forever, so you want to go with a quality brand. Western Digital, Samsung, and Crucial all make great SSDs, and if you’re looking for SATA-based drives, then you can’t go wrong with any of them.

M.2 SATA SSDs aren’t as fast as M.2 PCIe NVMe SSDs, but they’re also much cheaper. If you’re looking to save some money, then an M.2 SATA is the way to go. Samsung’s M.2 SSD sticks are among the fastest, which is why they’re also the most expensive.

If you want the fastest possible SSD you can get, go with an M.2 NVMe SSD. The Samsung 970 EVO Plus is the best one you can get right now, but Crucial and Sabrent’s options are both great as well–I personally have two Crucial M.2 NVMe SSDs plugged into my system.

Tech HowTo: Find Free Images with CC Search

Original Source Link

Finding great artwork for your next blog post or meme can be a challenge. And while there are plenty of sites you can use to find images you’re legally allowed to reproduce and/or modify, the latest addition to my list is CC Search, Creative Commons’ tool that is now officially out of beta.

Jane Park, director of product and research at Creative Commons, notes that the new search tool indexes around 300 million images, with plenty more on the way—Creative Commons’ has a lofty goal of indexing more than 1.4 billion licensed works.

“CC Search searches images across 19 collections pulled from open APIs and the Common Crawl dataset, including cultural works from museums (the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Cleveland Museum of Art), graphic designs and art works (Behance, DeviantArt), photos from Flickr, and an initial set of CC0 3D designs from Thingiverse,” she writes.

The beauty of CC Search is that everything you’re looking up is free to use, so long as you abide by whatever variation of Creative Commons license the image uses.

Figuring that out is easy. Start by searching for whatever you want on CC Search. You can then use the Filter button to isolate down to images that use a particular license (if you’re not well-versed in each one, I recommend having that Creative Commons license link up while you browse the filter’s options).

Don’t forget the “I want something that I can…” drop-down, either, which allows you to filter for images that you can use commercially or modify for whatever you’re trying to do. (Picking either option grays out the “licenses” filter—think of it as a simplified way to get to the essence of what the various licenses allow you to do.)

You can also isolate down to just the image providers themselves. That’s useful if you’d rather scour through more amateur-shot Flickr images than, say, images of laptops sitting in a museum (to use my example from the screenshot).

Reddit Anime Post: I want to eat your pancreas : Animesuggest

The title of this movie caught my eye and I decided to watch it and holy f*ck, I haven’t cried this much since Clannad Afterstory. Why is this movie so underrated? Literally everything about it is perfect, the characters, the animation, the osts, definitely one of the best anime movies I have ever seen. The only downside is the depression that sets in after watching it lol.

Hope you guys check it out 🙂

It’s my favorite anime movie! Such a great journey of emotions.

I was gonna watch it when I was craving romance, but then I read a summary of the story and decided that didn’t want to put myself through that.

That’s me with your lie in April. I know it’s a wonderful anime but I don’t wanna be depressed again

same here, i heard about it, read the synop and ran away XD

Watch the helpful fox senko-san to heal

Thanks!

woah buddy we just met take me to dinner first

I think part of the problem is that there’s no easy way to watch it (at least for U.S, might be different for where you are). It had one or two very brief (as in, two night) theatrical runs, I don’t know of any streaming service it’s on, including for rent. Your only option to watch it legally is to buy the $40 blu-Ray from Right Stuf. I only remember reading positive reviews for it, but no one I know has seen it, which is the real problem.

Here a little tip from someone who’s experienced in the field of illegally watching animie. Watching it on those websites isn’t illegal, only the people who actually pirate the films/shows can get in trouble.

I read the manga for this and didn’t know there was a movie. The name was very odd but I saw good reviews for it so I dived in. Incredible, cry-worthy manga that was just the right length. I’ll have to check out the movie now! Thanks.

I’m in the same boat, I also read it and then found out there was a movie after joining this subreddit haha

Haven’t watched it but I read it in September. My sister was admitted to the hospital for pancreas issues that same night (after having some of it removed she’s now okay) but I can’t look at it the same at all now. One day I’ll be brave enough to watch this.

Didnt necessarily get post-movie depression but damn if this wasnt one of the best anime movies ive ever seen. The fact that it managed to hit hard even though you hd the whole movie to prepare for what happened speaks volumes. Cant really say much else without spoiling but I love how it went so far beyond just a love story.

Like serious wtf is with anime titles sometimes. We got super long ones and super weird ones like this. And super weird super long ones like Rascal does not dream of bunny girl senpai

Nah man, what are you saying? Now let me go read my beloved “Apparently it’s my fault that my husband has the head of a beast”

LNs mostly have long names

Japanese people are awful at naming things.

The title makes sense if you watch the movie. It refers to a folktale mentioned in the film.

I thought it was comedy at first after reading the title.

Opposites being attracted to each other are kind of typical but the movie made a job well done on this aspect. My favorite parts are when they get to know each other and bringing the best out for both of them. I know it would hurt the way the story will turn out, especially when we all know what will happen to the girl.

I just didn’t expect the sudden plot twist, heck, I remember having goosebumps during that part. I thought I would cry my eyes out but with the plot twist, instead of crying, I keep on thinking why. Did the writer wrote the plot twist so it could have a different ending or to just steer away from typical stories where someone just dies from a disease?

It kind of ruin the whole movie for me.

No the plot twist was hinted slightly before. The story is not meant to be the story of a girl slowly succumbing to her disease, but that death can happen anywhere anytime. Which is why Sakura since she wants to live the most of her days cause we all don’t know weither we will just die someday.

IGN Article: Star Trek: Lower Decks Animated Series Release Date and New Images Revealed

Source Link

CBS All Access has announced that the new animated Star Trek series Star Trek: Lower Decks will debut on the streaming service on Thursday, August 6. New episodes of the 10-episode first season will then be available weekly.

New images from the show were also revealed Wednesday, including a poster featuring our first look at the show’s starship, which is described in a press release as “one of Starfleet’s least important ships” — the U.S.S. Cerritos. Check it out below:"One of Starfleet’s least important ships," the U.S.S. Cerritos from Star Trek: Lower Decks.

“One of Starfleet’s least important ships,” the U.S.S. Cerritos from Star Trek: Lower Decks.

Lower Decks was developed by Mike McMahan, of Rick and Morty fame, and is about the support crew of the Cerritos. Set in the year 2380 — which for those keeping count is 10 years after the last episode of The Next Generation and 19 years before Picard Season 1 — the show features Ensigns Beckett Mariner (voiced by Tawny Newsome), Brad Boimler (voiced by Jack Quaid), Rutherford (voiced by Eugene Cordero) and Tendi (voiced by Noël Wells) who “have to keep up with their duties and their social lives, often while the ship is being rocked by a multitude of sci-fi anomalies.”

At San Diego Comic-Con last year, Star Trek uber-producer Alex Kurtzman recalled McMahan’s pitch: “I want to do a show about the guy who brings the yellow cartridge to the back of the replicator so that a banana comes out the front.”

Check out more new images from the series in the slideshow below:

Star Trek: Lower Decks Cast

The bridge crew of the show include Captain Carol Freeman (voiced by Dawnn Lewis), Commander Jack Ransom (voiced by Jerry O’Connell), Lieutenant Shaxs (voiced by Fred Tatasciore) and Doctor T’Ana (voiced by Gillian Vigman).

Star Trek: Lower Decks is just one of many Trek shows in various stages of production right now. Star Trek: Discovery’s third season is expected to launch this year, Star Trek: Picard Season 2 is currently being written, the untitled Section 31 spin-off starring Michelle Yeoh is in development, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds featuring the return of Anson Mount’s Captain Pike and crew was recently greenlit. Then there’s also the other animated series in the works at Nickelodeon and at least one more live-action series that Kurtzman has hinted at. That’s a lot of Trek!
